High Quality Room Scale Desktop VR using Oculus Rift CV1, 3 Positional Trackers and Oculus Touch Controllers

This represents the “HQ PC VR (Consumer Version) system” that we are going to provide.

There are many different PC VR systems available today. The system is almost the best among them. This is on a par with or even better than “HTC Vive” and “Pimax 4K VR” (the 2 other HQ PC VR systems).

Here, VR will be presented via “Oculus Rift CV1” which is a comfortable VR headset with attached VR-ready headphones. The in-VR interactions will be done via 2 “Oculus Touch” controllers (1 controller for each hand). These controllers are very responsive, intuitive and fun to use. VR objects can easily be manipulated in various different ways like shooting guns, picking up objects, giving thumbs up, grabbing, throwing and many more.

This system is a room-scale VR system which means that it will allow for movement within a predefined clear space to be fully tracked. Being able to physically move within the space, helps to replicate real-world movement of the viewer within VR which makes the virtual environment seem more real.

Each exhibition on this system will be 60 minutes long where 20 minutes will be for setup / training / technical session / feedback session and the remaining 40 minutes of pure VR experience. The 20 minutes of preparation or other time as described before will be reduced for recurring viewers because of already having beforehand experience with system.

A viewer will need to pre-book his / her ticket to get access of an exhibition. All the details of the pre-booking process and the schedule of the exhibitions of all the different systems including this will be published together via a separate mega post.

Each exhibition of this system will have only one corresponding ticket. 1 ticket of the system will be available at a promotional price of BDT 180 only.

A maximum of 2 guests are allowed to accompany the viewer of this system. This is mainly because of space constraints of the VR lab and also as VR is a “1-to-1 experience” thing.

The Golden Era of Developer-Version Desktop VR using Oculus Rift DK2, 1 Positional Tracker, Leap Motion and XBOX 360 Controller

This represents the “Historical Masterpiece PC VR (Developer Version) system” that we are going to provide.

There are many different PC VR systems available today. The “Oculus Rift CV1” is almost the best among them. This system is the last developer kit which was released before the “Oculus Rift CV1”. It is named “Oculus Rift DK2”. It has support for positional tracking. This is on a par with almost all types of “Mobile VR” systems, “OSVR” and even “PlayStation VR”.

Here, VR will be presented via “Oculus Rift DK2” which is a comparatively comfortable VR headset. The in-VR interactions will be done via “Leap Motion” controller and the complementary “XBOX 360” controller. The “Leap Motion” controller allows for the VR objects to be manipulated via nothing but bare hands in various different ways such as picking up objects, giving thumbs up, grabbing, throwing and many more. This type of control is very freeing and immersive.

This system is a seated VR system with support for front-facing positional tracking which means that it will allow for some good amount of movements within the bounds of the tracked area of the tracker while directly facing it. These real-world movements of the viewer are well replicated over to the virtual environment.

Each exhibition on this system will be 60 minutes long where 20 minutes will be for setup / training / technical session / feedback session and the remaining 40 minutes of pure VR experience. The 20 minutes of preparation or other time as described before will be reduced for recurring viewers because of already having beforehand experience with system.

High Quality Mobile VR using Samsung Gear VR Headset, High End Samsung Phone and Handheld Samsung Gear VR Controller

This represents the “HQ Mobile VR system” that we are going to provide.

There are many different mobile VR systems available today. The system is one of the best among them. This is on a par with “Google Daydream VR” and “Oculus GO” (the 2 other HQ mobile VR systems).

Here, VR will be presented via a “High End Samsung Phone” which will be placed inside of a “Samsung Gear VR Headset”. The in-VR interactions will be possible via both the built-in touchpad on the “Samsung Gear VR Headset” itself and the handheld “Samsung Gear VR Controller”.

This system is a seated VR system on a revolving chair without the presence of any wire which allows the viewer to rotate 360 degrees to the left or right freely to enjoy the VR environment more easily.

Each exhibition on this system will be 45 minutes long where 15 minutes will be for setup / training / technical session / feedback session and the remaining 30 minutes of pure VR experience. The 15 minutes of preparation or other time as described before will be reduced for recurring viewers because of already having beforehand experience with system.

A viewer will need to pre-book his / her ticket to get access of an exhibition. All the details of the pre-booking process and the schedule of the exhibitions of all the different systems including this will be published together via a separate mega post.

Moderate Quality Mobile VR using Google Cardboard API, Professional Plastic Build Headset and Handheld VR Specific Bluetooth Controller

This represents the “Moderate Quality Mobile VR system” that we are going to provide.

There are many different mobile VR systems available today. The system is one of the simplest among them. However, the headset, we are providing with this system, is of professional plastic build with support for glasses and IPD adjustment; instead of a simple cardboard based headset. The headset also has adjustable straps to keep it firm on the head without any hand support.

Here, VR will be presented via a “Quality Samsung Phone” which will be placed inside of the aforementioned headset. The in-VR interactions will be possible via the accompanying VR specific bluetooth controller.

This system is a seated VR system on a revolving chair without the presence of any wire which allows the viewer to rotate 360 degrees to the left or right freely to enjoy the VR environment more easily.

Each exhibition on this system will be 30 minutes long where 10 minutes will be for setup / training / technical session / feedback session and the remaining 20 minutes of pure VR experience. The 10 minutes of preparation or other time as described before will be reduced for recurring viewers because of already having beforehand experience with system.

This system will not need any tickets or pre-booking. It is mainly for any 1 guest among a maximum of 2 guests who may accompany the viewers of our other VR systems. It will cost BDT 20 only for guests of “Oculus Rift CV1” viewers, BDT 30 only for guests of “Oculus Rift DK2” viewers and finally BDT 40 only for guests of “Samsung Gear VR” viewers (promotional prices). It is optional for everyone. However, the booking will be done on-site or during the other exhibitions in the lab based of availability and priority. More details regarding this and others are going to be given via a separate mega post.
